I was finding that my backgrounds were too plain and not "layered" enough.

With this page, I specifically applied layers of ink to start, and then added various different stencils and stamped images (the "ticket text" at the top, for example) to enhance the depth and texture of the page.

I then applied washi tape and stamped the "embrace the journey" text onto a piece of cardstock and cut it out and applied it to compliment the stamped image.

​

The "girl on the suitcase" (my "wanderer") is from a Picket Fence stamp set.

​

I had another stamp set with tiny words, and so I stamped them onto inked cardstock, and cut them out to look like stickers on the suitcase.
