August Excitement - Paint Pouring and Card Making!

Well, it's been too hot to book any sessions at the studio this month, but the temps are easing and so I am ready to get back on track!

The above photo is a sneak peek at some of the designs you'll see in the August card workshops. I have another wonderful (new!) stamp set from Unity Stamp Co, and the Penny Black Poppy stamp looks just amazing!

Join us on Tuesday, August 13 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am to make six uniquely interesting all occasion cards (a mix of birthday, thank you, and other greetings).

If you can't make it for the weekday session, I'll host another workshop on Sunday, August 25 from 2 pm - 4 pm.

The cost for these workshops is $30 including taxes and all materials and supplies will be provided.

And now ... It is time for Paint Pouring!

If you've never tried paint pouring, here's your chance to give it a go. If you have done it before, you know how fun it can be and won't want to miss these sessions.

We'll use a variety of different canvas sizes to create a number of finished pieces. After they have cured, you can also add a greeting or other embellishments or designs to the art work (I used Staz-On ink with a stamped message to embellish the small panel at the front of this picture).

I've scheduled two times for this workshop:

Tuesday, August 20 from 9:30 am - noon and Wednesday, August 21 from 1 - 3:30 pm.

If you can't make either of those times, but still want to "give it a go," grab at least two friends (minimum group size is 3 and maximum is 5) and let me know a time that is convenient for you and we'll book another session.

Based on my experience leading these sessions before, this technique is suitable for most age groups, but I suggest 10 years and older (and supervision for those between 10 and 12 years of age).

The cost for this session is $40 including taxes and all supplies and materials. The paint requires a few days to cure (so be prepared to come back to pick up your finished pieces, or bring appropriate boxes to transport the canvases), but you'll go home with a variety of colour-palettes and impressive designs that you can frame, or add to other creative projects.

Email me to reserve your spot and please specify which session you would prefer.
