Fall into some Fun in October!

There's a lot going on this month at the studio, so I hope you can join me for some great Fall fun!

Messy Mondays continues, with our art journaling sessions from 10 am - noon every week. We will even meet up this Monday, even though it is a holiday, as a number of people have expressed interest in the session. Please let me know if you are interested in attending so I know how many to expect.

I've been busy creating one-to-two journal pages a week (sometimes even more) and find the process to be engaging and relaxing. As one participant said, "When we're working on our journals, we're totally immersed - it is hard to think of other things while you're doing it, so it is great to focus and just create!"

Here are some samples of what I have been working on.

This was a fun technique where after I coloured the background with stripes of ink, I then stamped the images and added a thin coat of white paint around the stamp to highlight it.

What more can I say - if you saw my craft space right now, you'd know this speaks for itself!

And, No, I didn't draw the face image. This is a "collage paper" applied to the inked background.

The cost for these sessions is $10 including taxes, and I provide a bunch of supplies - just bring your own book to journal in. I will give you some ideas and direction, if you need it, but mostly, these are just "free form" sessions where you get to create.

I'm hosing my first Holiday Card Marathon on Tuesday morning (sorry, this session is full already) and the next one will be on Sunday, October 20 from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm (we need some extra time because we're making more cards!).

Here are a few of the cards we'll be making next week, but there will be new and different cards for each session.

At the Holiday Card Marathon, we make three each of six designs, for a total of 18 cards. That'll get you into the spirit of the season. The cost for this session is $45 including all taxes, materials and supplies.

If October is too early for you to think about the holiday season, I'll be doing one more session in November, along with my other popular Silly & Snarky, Funky Folds and Traditional card sessions. Drop me a note if you'd like to register for the October session or any of the upcoming sessions.

Also this month, I'm hosting a private paint-pouring session for a group of ladies. I'm happy to coordinate a private session for you on a specific theme or project.
