Jam-Packed November Schedule!

Oh my, have I been having fun working on all the November workshops! There's a lot to choose from, so, I'll get going here!

But, before you read the details, remember that if there is a workshop that you see here that you can't attend on the date it is offered, let me know and I will work with you to coordinate another time for you to complete the project. Also, if you want to set up a private session for you and three or more friends, let me know a theme and we'll set a date!

Assorted Christmas Cards

If you are just looking for a few more cards, or only need a few, this workshop will be perfect for you. We'll make six cards, with various designs and greetings sure to send cheer to your family and friends. (The image above shows some of the paper designs and florals I am working with for this workshop.)

This workshop will be held on Sunday, November 10 from 10 am - noon and again on Tuesday, November 19 from 9:30 am - 11:30 am. The cost for this workshop is $30 including all taxes, supplies and coordinating envelopes.

Holiday Card Marathon #3

We had our first two holiday card marathon sessions in October, and the next one is scheduled for Sunday, November 10 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (note the extra length for this session, due to the extra number of cards).

In the marathon session we make three each of six card designs, for a total of 18 cards. The photo above is one of the sets of three. Usually, the three in a set are identical, but I made a little adjustment for this set. Note that these cards will be different from the ones we made in October, so if you want to get in on the fun, you'll have all new images after this workshop.

The cost of this workshop is $45 including all taxes, supplies and coordinating envelopes.

Silly & Snarky

The Silly & Snarky workshop is always a popular one. Here is one of the fun cards I've created, and a few of the other stamps I plan to use for this session.

This workshop will feature six whimsical cards, with a variety of snarky sentiments and silly images to coordinate the look. These are always an extra fun way to send holiday greetings!

This workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 13 from 10 am - noon and again on Sunday, November 17 from 2 pm - 4 pm (depending on enrollment, the card images may be different between the two sessions).

Funky Folds

This is another fun workshop where I have to really apply my creative spirit so we can create cards with unusual folds and panels!

Here is just one of the six cards we'll make in this session:

This card opens in the reverse manner to reveal a third reindeer and a spot for your holiday message. I'm still deciding on the greeting to include on the front panel, but wanted to get this posted while it is still "hot off the press."

Advent Calendar Box Set

My advent calendar box sets are on order and should arrive within the next week or so. In this workshop, I'll provide some ideas and options, as well as supplies and embellishments, but you'll be able to create your own one-of-a-kind advent gift box. The advent box set should be able to be re-used another year.

This workshop will be held on Sunday, November 24 from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm (I've allowed extra time for the creativity to flow) and again on Wednesday, November 27 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.

The cost for this workshop will be $25 for the first box (including all taxes and materials) and $20 for subsequent boxes (while supplies last).

Embellished Canvas Bags

Over the past few weeks I've been working on a number of different designs for customizing cloth shopping bags. The bags come in two different sizes, and two different colours (cream and black). These would make a great hostess gift or stocking stuffer, and can be completely customized for the recipient. Here are some photos of two options I've come up, but there are lots of other options I can share!

The one on the left is done using fabric ink and a botanical stencil. The one on the right is done using a napkin image and decoupage application with a fabric ink painted border. On another bag, I also used a stamp with Staz-on ink, and fabric paint pens to colour in the image (sorry, don't have a photo of that one yet to include here). Both of these bags shown here are 8" wide x 10" high with a 4" base. The larger size comes in black (16" wide x 12" high with a 6" "base"), and can be adorned with lots of different patterns.

In this workshop, I will provide you with some sample techniques for decorating the bags, and you will be able to choose your approach and colouring. Each person will make one large bag (in black), one small cream bag and one small black bag.

The cost for this workshop is $30 including all taxes and supplies.

Trinkets and Hostess Gifts

If you're looking for a last-minute hostess gift or stocking stuffers, I'll be hosting an afternoon workshop where I'll demo a number of options for creating what I'm calling "trinkets and gifts."

This workshop will be held on Sunday, December 1 from 1 pm - 4 pm. We'll make a variety of little treasures for you to share during the holiday season. (These will include projects such as mini notebooks, a candle and napkin gift box, and wine bottle adornments.)

The cost for this workshop is $30 including all taxes and supplies.

Messy Mondays (Drop-in Art Journaling) Continues

Our regular Monday art journaling sessions will continue through November, including Monday, November 11. Our regular meeting time is 10 am - noon, but we'll adjust the time (TBC) for the November 11 session in recognition of Remembrance Day.

Here's one of my earlier creations - You may not have lost all your marbles, but there's definitely a hole in the bag!

The cost for these sessions is $10 including taxes. Bring your own journal or old book to create in, and I'll provide inks, stamps, and other embellishments.
