Holiday Workshops are Coming!

I am in full-gear prepping for the holiday season.

My first workshop will be the annual "Holiday Card Marathon." In this workshop, we will make three each of the six cards shown above, for a total of 18 cards which will be a great start to your holiday stash!

These cards are elegant, colourful and festive without being too fiddly to make.

Join me on Sunday, November 6 from 1 pm - 3 pm (note that this is an extended workshop due to the number of cards we make).

Space for this workshop is limited so be sure to sign up soon so you aren't disappointed.

The cost for this workshop is $55 including taxes and includes all the materials and coordinating envelopes.

With COVID still in our midst, and now the onset of an active flu season, I realize that some of you may not want to attend workshops in a group. As well as scheduled workshop times, I can arrange for one-on-one (or small-group sessions) or, for many of the workshops you can also opt for a "take out" kit with assembly directions for you to complete the projects at home.

In terms of card sessions, my other workshops will include:

• Traditional Christmas: a set of six cards using traditional papers, images and sentiments

• Whimsical Greetings: a set of six cute cards with lighter images and sentiments

• Silly & Snarky Sentiments: a set of six cards with somewhat less-traditional sayings and images that will bring a smile to your face

• Funky Folds: a set of six cards that offer something a little different in terms of the presentation to make your cards really stand out from all the rest (please note that due to the complexity of these cards this workshop can only be completed in house)

• Young at heART: new this year I am offering workshops for small groups of children (4-6 in a group) to create their very own cards (we'll make four different cards) that they can customize and send to loved ones - these cards are simpler in design to allow for easy assemble but yet with impressive results. Book a session for your kids, grandkids, or friends and family and we'll get into the creative spirit!

The cost for these workshops is $35 including taxes and includes all supplies and materials as well as coordinating envelopes. (The children's workshop is $25 per person with a minimum of two per session and is not available for the take-out option.)

And, just to get you into the holiday spirit (if you're not already counting down the days), here are a few of the other projects I'll be offering in workshops.

I've been working on some of my own shadow box designs and have recently created these fabulous 5" mini-frames which make great hostess gifts, decorations or stocking stuffers. Here are two that I have just assembled.

More details will follow shortly on timing and options for these projects

Stay tuned, too, for some larger 8 x 8" holiday shadow box designs!

These 5 x 7" shadow boxes also make great gifts and are almost like a permanent "card in a frame." I will have multiple designs to choose from and will post all the details in the coming weeks.

The final project I'll share with you are these fabulous 6 x 6" painted canvases with vinyl overlays. These chunky frames can stand on their own, or be hung for display.

So, there you have it! Lots of ideas to keep in mind as you prepare your list for decorations and gift-giving.
