Lots of May Excitement!

Happy May, to all of you! My, the days and months are whizzing by!

I have been busy preparing new products for workshops and upcoming craft fairs and I'm excited to keep sharing them with you. If you follow my Facebook and Instagram pages, you'll have seen my recent posts showcasing some of my new designs, including these "bottlecap frames" shown above. These are a fun alternative to the wooden, square frames and larger glass-front shadow boxes frames. These measure approximately 5.75" in across and have a nice, rustic feel to them which is perfect for floral and outdoorsy themes.

I've also added a new "slender" line of designs to my collection.

This design came out of a bit of "necessity" to use up cuts of paper. When I create the larger shadow boxes, I am often left with a 4 x 8" and a 4 x 12" strip of cardstock when cutting from a 12 x 12" sheet. I have been "collecting" these pieces, feeling they were too big to discard to recycling.

So, my wonderful husband, Guy, made these frames for me, so that I can now create new, "slender" designs which are great for small spaces that need a little splash of colour!

So with all this creating, this month I'll be participating in two craft fairs. The first is Saturday, May 4 from 11-4 at the Pipe Shop at Shipyards in North Vancouver. This event is organized by Community Markets and there will be a variety of artisans and vendors there for the show so come out and get a Mother's Day, wedding, grad or teacher's gift or something special for yourself!

My next event is May 25 at from 10 am - 1pm at St. Christopher's Anglican Church in West Vancouver (1068 Inglewood Avenue). I'll have my shadow boxes and some other items available for sale at that show so pop in and say Hi and see what I've been up to!

The next day, Sunday, May 26 when I'll be at Cork It Wine Making on Crown Street in North Vancouver.

Join us for this workshop where you'll create your own, unique necklace and have a chance to mingle and socialize with others on a lovely Sunday afternoon! You can contact me directly to register, or be in touch with Melanie and her team at Cork It 604-986-7475 or info@corkitwinemaking.com.

I'm also putting the finishing touches on my upcoming workshop schedule. But, I'm also always happy to host a private session for you or a group of friends!

Happy Crafting!

Pamela
